Placement

At Compass, placement isn’t an afterthought or a recruiting strategy – it’s our goal. There are certain individuals with exceptional artistic skills – we want to find them, form them, and help them take root in the industry.

That said, the film business is highly entrepreneurial. Those who succeed do so because they take advantage of opportunities and build relationships. Compass provides access to both, but we encourage our students to pursue them on an individual basis as well.

After completing the Film & Video Production program, graduates work with our Industry Relations Specialist and have access to internship, networking, and employment opportunities specific to their areas of interest. These opportunities will be your chance to work, network, and plant yourself firmly within the film industry. Our graduates are also welcome to continue using Compass as a resource even after setting foot in the industry.

Whether you want to work in a studio setting, on an indie film set, a television series, or even start your own production company, we will help guide you in that process.
